What you agree to,in plain words.
These are the rules for taking part in the Capra 30x30 challenge and for using this hub. We have kept them short. If something here isn't clear, ask us and we'll explain it.

The basics
Who you're dealing with
This site is the participant hub for the Capra 30x30 challenge, run by Capra Running Company Ltd. in Squamish, British Columbia. "We" and "us" mean Capra Running Company Ltd.. "You" means whoever is using the hub.
Agreeing to these terms
By registering, signing in, or using the hub, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the hub.
Our privacy policy explains what we do with your information, and the FAQ explains how the challenge works day to day. Both are part of this agreement.
Age
There's no minimum age for the challenge itself. But if the participant is under 16, a parent or guardian has to do the registering, agree to these terms on their behalf, and look after the account. Whatever happens on that account is the parent or guardian's responsibility.
Registering
Getting in
Entries are sold through our store at capra.run. One entry covers one person for one November.
You can pay for someone else, but every participant, including children, needs their own email address. You may register another person only if they authorized you to do so and have agreed to these terms, or if you are their parent or guardian and are agreeing on their behalf under the rule above.
Paying
Payment is handled by our store and its payment provider, under their own terms. We never see your full card number.
Refunds and transfers
Once the challenge starts on November 1, entries aren't refundable, and they can't be moved to another person or another year. Before November 1, email us and we'll sort something out.
The challenge
What counts
Complete at least one qualifying activity on each of the thirty days of November. Each qualifying activity must last at least thirty continuous minutes. You may log more than one in a day, but extra time on one day doesn't cover another.
The FAQ explains the daily activity rules, indoor days, and which activities count toward the leaderboards. Read it as part of these terms.
Logging
Log your days in the hub. Logging closes on December 2 at 11:59pm Pacific time, and after that the year is final. Anyone missing a day is marked incomplete, which means no finisher credit.
Log it honestly
Log what you actually did. If we have good reason to think an entry is wrong, invented, or logged by someone else, we can hide it, correct it, take it off the leaderboards, take back a prize or credit, or close the account. We'll tell you why.
On results, leaderboards and prizes, our decision is the final one.
Connecting Strava
Connecting Strava is optional, and only Strava-synced activities count toward the time, distance and elevation leaderboards. Your Strava account is between you and Strava under their terms. You can disconnect from Settings whenever you like.
Sync is a convenience, not a guarantee. If it misses something, log it by hand before the deadline.
Prizes and credit
The daily draws
Each day you log is one entry in that day's draw. Winners are picked at random and announced in the daily newsletter.
Who can win
You have to be registered for the current year and have the day logged.
Collecting a prize
Unless we say otherwise, prizes must be picked up at the store by December 31 at 4pm. You can send someone to collect for you. Prizes aren't exchangeable and have no cash value.
If you haven't collected it by then and haven't arranged something with us, you forfeit it and we put it back in the pot.
Finisher store credit
Log all thirty days and you get a $50 discount code for our store. Register a dog and finish and there's a further $25 at Peaks Family Pets.
It's a discount code, not a gift card. It has no cash value and these conditions apply:
- Your order has to be over $56, before shipping and taxes
- One use, no partial use, and it can't be transferred to anyone else
- It can't be combined with other discounts
- It isn't valid on sale items, nutrition, Coros products, or next year's registration
- Unused codes expire on October 31 of the following year
Using the hub
Your account
One account per person, with a real name and your own email address. Keep your sign-in codes and any personal sign-in links to yourself. Anything done on your account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
What you post
Your photos, notes and comments stay yours. By posting them you give us permission to show them in the hub, in the challenge newsletter, and on our social channels, to promote the challenge. You can ask us to stop using a particular photo and we will.
Only post things you have the right to post.
Respect other people
Don't harass or threaten other participants or our staff.
Don't post anything hateful, harassing, sexual, or illegal, and don't use the hub to advertise. This applies to photos, notes and comments.
If you are concerned about something another participant has posted, contact us.
Don't break it
No bots, scraping, or bulk downloading. No trying to reach other people's accounts or our systems. No fake accounts, and no selling or sharing access to yours.
If you break the rules
We can remove content, suspend an account, or remove someone from the challenge for breaking these terms. For anything serious or repeated, that happens without a refund.
The legal bits
Your health is your call
Running, walking and everything else here carries risk. You decide whether you're fit to take part, you check with a doctor if you're not sure, and you stop if something feels wrong. You take part at your own risk and you're responsible for your own safety, and for anyone or any dog you bring with you.
We don't supervise activities and we're not responsible for injury, illness or loss that happens while you're out doing one.
The hub as it is
We provide the hub as it is. We can't promise it's always available, always correct, or free of bugs, and we may change or remove parts of it. Strava sync depends on Strava, which is outside our control.
What we're responsible for
If we get something wrong and it costs you money, the most we owe you is what you paid to register. We're not responsible for indirect losses, lost data, lost prizes or lost time.
Stopping
You can stop taking part whenever you like, and you can ask us to close your account by emailing us. Stopping after November 1 doesn't get you a refund. We can close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for anything significant we'll tell you by email or in the hub. If you keep using the hub after that, you're accepting the new version.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and disputes go to the courts there.
