Why November
November is the month you would rather skip.
The trails are wet. It's snowing in the alpine but the lifts aren't turning. It's dark before you finish work, and most evenings the honest answer is no.
That's the point. Thirty minutes is small enough to do in the rain, in the dark, on a day you had no intention of moving. Do it thirty times and you'll have thirty days banked before anyone else has written a resolution.
Need a little extra motivation? We'll be running three run clubs per week all of November with pace groups for all levels.
The rule
One activity. Thirty minutes. Every day.
Run, walk, hike, treadmill, or race day, anywhere in the world. Run/walk intervals count. Nordic ski, ski tour and bike sub in when you genuinely need them.
It must be 30 continuous minutes. Two fifteen minute walks don't make a day, and there are no make-up days.
Registration
$30 ENTRY. $50 STORE CREDIT* WHEN YOU FINISH
Add a dog for $15. They get their own leaderboard, and a $25 certificate at Peaks Family Pets if they finish.
This is a virtual challenge, so you can participate from anywhere in the world. You don't need to be local to participate, or to win prizes, or to receive your store credit (redeemable online or in store).
*Logging of all 30 days required to receive store credit. $56 minimum order required. Credit expires October 31 of the following year, and doesn't cover sale items, nutrition, Coros or next year's 30x30 registration.
Prizes
Over $25,000 in prizes, drawn daily.
Every day you log is an entry in that day's draw. More than 300 prizes go out across November, worth over $25,000: race entries, gear, art, experiences, training and conditioning. You pick which draws you're in.
We announce every prize in our daily newsletter, so read it. If it isn't arriving, check your spam folder first, then let us know.
Easy logging
Link Strava. Skip the form.
We heard you. Opening the app every evening to log a day by hand wasn't everyone's cup of tea, and a missed entry felt worse than a missed run.
Most of you are already on Strava, so this year you can link it to the challenge hub. Finish your activity, and it's logged for you. No form, no reminder, nothing to forget.
Read the FAQ for more details.
The leaderboard
Thirty minutes is the floor, not the ceiling.
Thirty minutes gets the day logged. Everything after that counts toward the leaderboards, and there is no cap. Four of them run all month: time, distance, elevation, and one for the dogs.
To keep everyone honest, only activities synced from Strava count toward the three human leaderboards.
Indoor activities don't count toward the leaderboards, so a treadmill day keeps your streak alive but adds nothing to your totals. Not every activity counts for every leaderboard. Check the FAQ for more information.
